Please Help! Open documents NOT in taskbar!!

    Hi everybody!

I've got a severe problem with Windows 7 which I cannot fix alone... The thing is that open (but minimized) documents (Excel, pdf, aso.) don't appear in the taskbar. The only way to switch thorugh open documents is via the task manager. Thus ist is very annoying to work...

Does anyone of you know what might be wrong? Many thanks in advance!!

    Best regards

    Florian

You could also have to many thing minimized. If that is so their will be a little vertical bar with a up/down arrow on the taskbar that will allow you to shift from bar to bar

    Problem still remains...

    Hi together,

thanks for your replies. Unfortunately, I could not fix the problem. It is not too many open documents, even if only one file is open it is not displayed in the taskbar. In addition I followed the link above, downloaded the malwarebytes-program and ran a scan. Indeed, some malware was found (folders and files called "I want this"), which I deleted. Of course, I restarted the pc, but the problem is not fixed.
Any ideas? Couldn´t it be some kind of setting in Windows 7?
    Thanks in advance!

Well I'm unable to see and use your computer from here. So I make suggestions. They won't hurt your computer but might help. What did Malwarebytes find and did you allow it to remove it?
Next I would recommend running sfc /scannow. This is how Windows 7 checks it own files and repairs them if it can. A little Tutorial that will help.
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    Hi!
I have run sfc /scannow, but still no change...Malwarebytes has found a couple of files, most of them there called "I want this" / or were stored in subfolders called so. These files are deleted now, and of course, I rebootet the pc a couple of times. No change....
    Any other ideas?

    Thanks, and best regards,

Well there is the blanket fix, which is to do a full windows repair, it will reset all of windows basic settings to factory this include your desktop/wallpaper/folder size, stuff like that but will leave your installed programs and personal data intact. (which is what makes it different from a normal format/reinstall of windows)
    Repair Install
I'll be honest with you this is the shotgun blast approach though.
If the problem is in any way connected to customizations or bad settings it will fix it though.

Also if you are using an Antivirus or firewall/security app, remove it before doing this.
    Then reinstall once done.
It can interfere with the process.
