No it does not and I'm not sure why that member even posted that info. Any SSD would more then likely work just fine in your system even if it was the newest SATA standard, SATA III (3) which is 6GBs transfer rate instead of SATA II (2) 3GBs transfer rate that your system supports. Most if not all drives are backward compatible and the only time I have seen systems that aren't able to use SATA III drives are made by Apple, Mac computers, and only when a SATA III SSD is installed in the Optical bay of Mac notebook (Apple has limited the transfer speed of there notebooks on the interface the optical drive is normally on).
So no matter what SSD you buy it should work without problem in your system. But there is always the exception.
