How do i get my Desktop back to default settings?

I was trying to update my game, and since I was having trouble with that. I contacted EA, which the game was from (by chat). And to fix that they said to download/update NVIDIA. And that failed, so when I was running its update thing (which failed) it made my icons and such huge! I didn't panic because it's happened before and so I went to personalize, but it looked different. Now the icons are either to big or too small. I know the default setting were somewhere between 1024 by 768 pixels to 1280 by 1024. But now there is no between. Is there anyway to get it back to normal? I have windows vista. Please Help!

Hi KriIce, Welcome to the forums, The easiest way out for you is to do a system restore System Restore choose a restore point just prior to when you tried updating :)

another way to resize the desktop icons is to hold down the ctrl key and scroll up or down to resize

Thank you that solved my icon problem! Is there anyway to get the task bar and Internet display back to the way it was before? Right now they are really small and it bugs me and the other one makes it too big which bugs me even more...

    EDIT
    Never mind it solved itsself?
