One particular laptop can not detect one particular wi-fi network
My HP pavillion 6767 laptop has invented a strange problem for me. I stay with a few friends in a rented flat where the owner has provided us the wi-fi connection. The owner also owns another flat just one floor above mine and there, too, he has given another wi-fi connection to those people staying in that flat. the password of both the connections is the same which he already has shared with us.
Now the issue is : While everyone else from my flat can use the internet without any problem, My laptop sometimes detects my flat's network but most of the time it detects the network of the flat just above my floor and obviously because of the distance the signal strength is not that good and so is my net speed. I have tried disconnecting the router for 10-20 seconds and restarting it a several times, tried restarting my system a couple of times, but strangely enough, sometimes it automatically detects my network and all of a sudden after a few hours it will drop it and get connected with the other network (the one at above my flat) at the cost of quality and then my floor's network will disappear. once it disappears, however and whatever I try, it wont show in the network list and after a few hours it will show it again and will just work fine. It will again disappear randomly at its will again after a few hours. Let me tell you this thing happens only with my PC. everyone else on my floor is using it very comfortably without any such problems.
I am really irritated with such a strange thing, Please Please help me solve this...
many many thanks in advance.
