Well if legit.
I had to on some files If the name was lets say SetUp and not SetUp.exe I had to Rename it SetUp.exe(and click on SetUp.exe, you will see what i mean by that.)
You may also have to right click and click on Run As Administrator.
Also there are registry values to change from default or something to %1, I did it a while ago so just trying to remember but clicking %1 seems to be the same as Run As Administrator and the extension fix may change the registry values already, you also may have Check for Compatability also, this will run them as would XP or windows Me or others.
Some just won't run but Run As Admin does the trick usually, but not all will run!!
