Dialog Box Error: efm sys file corrupt. Reinstall. I'm getting the above error on a dialog box that is called Name Setup every time I boot my computer. It usually appears about 20 minutes after my PC has been on.
I don't if it's even part of Windows or an app I have installed. It doesn't cause any noticeable issues, but I would still like to fix it.
I recently completely reinstalled Windows 7 64 bit and until this, it's been fine. | My System Specs |

Can you post a screenshot of the error box? Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums
I would run the System File Checker and see if it finds any errors. SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
See note that it may have to be run 3 times if it finds but cannot repair errors. I tried the scan but it didn't work. I get this error about 20 minutes after boot up. I dismiss it and that's the end of it. https://www.dropbox.com/s/trbh39be8c2y1nc/Error.jpg | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Homemade OS Windows 7 Pro x64 CPU Quad Core 2.40 Ghz Motherboard Abit IP-35-E Memory 8 GIGS DDR2 Corsair Graphics Card XFX Geforce 260 Sound Card X-Fi Monitor(s) Displays Dell 24 Inch Widescreen and Dell 19 Inch Screen Resolution 1920 x 1200 Keyboard Logitech Illuminated Mouse MX Revolution PSU Fotron Case Cooler Master Hard Drives 3 Hard drives, 160, 250, and 1.5 TB Internet Speed Cable |

Ahh, ok good. Although that is a fix I see for your error. It's not an easy search. I would try a clean start to see if it appears then. If so, you may be able to determine the cause. Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup

No, not familiar. I did a search for the error, and for Name setup. Not much pertinent to that exact error. Only found one solved thread, and that was here and SFC was the fix then.
