    Keep taskbar buttons but don't combine?

    Hey guys,

    Loving windows 7 so far. The only gripe I have is I'd like to find a way to use buttons and not labels on the taskbar without combining - for example, if I'm using multiple firefox browsers, it collapses into the same icon. I'd prefer to have different icons for each different browser to eliminate the extra mouse click or hover time required.

    Does anybody know if this is possible yet?

    Cheers,

    Jonny

    Hello Jonny,

    You might see if adjusting the width if the taskbar buttins to a smaller size may be able to hide the text and have it look the way you wanted when set to not combine.

    Taskbar - Change Icon Button Width Size

    Hope this helps,

    Windows 7 provides several options for end-user to customize and change the display and behavior icons and buttons on the Taskbar:

    For your concern, please right click on the taskbar and select "Properties", find the following three options, select the 3rd one "Never Combine" )
    * Always combine, hide labels
    * Combine when taskbar is full (will display label text)
    * Never combine (will display label text)

    RaMMicHaeL's 7 taskbar tweaker worked a treat. Thanks again to all who posted.
