    Won't automatically add 'Date modified' to downloads


    Hi! First off, I kinda suck with computers, so I'm sorry if I make this more difficult than it should be. Also, this is kind of a silly question.
    When I used to download images, my computer would automatically add a 'date modified' thingy to it, so that I could sort through them easily by setting the folder to be arranged by the date I saved it. But it suddenly stopped adding the date modified- or any other properties- to anything I right-click-save, so that I have to search through my (admittedly large) folder and manually add the date. Is there any way I could set it back to automatically doing this? Thanks!

    Welcome to Seven Forums narwhalsmash. Try this.

    File and Folder Arrangement - Group by - Sort by - Arrange by

    Open a folder with the images> Right click a blank area and chose Sort by> Scroll down to More at the bottom> Scroll down to Date modified and put a check mark next to it> Now click on the Date modified text itself and on the right side, Move up should now be clickable> Click on Move up

    Won't automatically add 'Date modified' to downloads-date.jpg

    This will move Date modified to the top of the list. See if your old behavior is now back.

Date modified does not work

When I save a file from my email to my documents and show date modified, it never shows up at the bottom of the list. It did show this in XP (although not all the time). Why isn't it showing up at the bottom or top? Is it to do with the date that the file was created on the other persons...

Only those who have slipstreamed answer this please.. After integration of SP1 to a particular edition, did it the change the "date modified" column during the installation process??
