Windows 7 does have native CD/DVD burning ability.
Burn a CD or DVD in Windows Explorer
Many people prefer a third party program for added flexibility.
Try DVD Author Plus. It is totally free, easy to use and works perfectly. It will burn video DVDs from any file type that will work on all DVD players. It can also backup to ISO, copy DVD to DVD and burn ISO files -

Since Windows 7 first came out, the native CD/DVD burning software is all I have ever used and I have never had a problem with it, even when creating bootable disks from .iso files.
I've had issues with it, and far too many people report issues with the quality of the burned discs. Since there are plenty of free alternatives, use something much more feature-filled.
I use CDBurnerXP, it has pretty impressive features for a FREE piece of software, and it works with Win7 if you are wondering.
