    How do I Restore Icon images on desktop?

    While I have been installing various programs, some of my desktop icons have been overlaid as can be seen on attachment.

    Any ideas why and how to revert please?

    I have no idea as to why it happened, but you could try rebuilding the icon cache;

    Icon Cache - Rebuild

    PS: If one of the programs you installed was for a "Themes" program, you may want to consider uninstalling it.

    Hello Basils,

    That looks like the shortcut arrow overlay on the icon has been messed up. Using the tutorial below to restore the default shortcut arrow overlay should fix that for you.

    Shortcut Arrow - Change, Remove, or Restore

    Hope this helps, :)

    Thanks guys, I tried Icon Cache - Rebuild and that didn't work, so I'll have a go at your suggestion next Brink and report back.
