Anybody have any ideas? I'm still at a loss, I cannot figure this out.

I am in the EXACT same situation. My monitor will "sleep" or go off or whatever anyone would like to call it but as soon as it locks, the screen will then turn on and stay at the login screen until I log in again. I also have Borderlands 2 installed and that is a newer install so maybe that IS in fact the issue. I don't see how/why?

    Steam may be the culprit...

I have the same issue (in case you didn't see my other posting).

Going off the Borderlands 2 lead, I did some digging and got didly. I just got fed up one night and closed out of Steam - Didn't uninstall or disable anything, just simple exit.

    And that seemed to work.

When I load Steam and leave it running, it goes back to the no sleep.

    SO......

Try closing Steam and see where that takes you. I'm heading to their Support forums now to see if anyone is like us but if you can verify my results on your end, at least that makes two of us.

    Hopefully, we have something now...
