    Explorer jumplist corrupted.

Hey guys I am having a small problem with my explorer jumplisits. I haven't really used them before but just decided to start using them and I love them. The only problem is when the last explorer window closes all of the pinned folders are gone. I found a thread on here and it had a link to a microsoft update download but the genunine windows tool won't work, it says its outdated but I can't find a new version. So my question is does anybody have any other advice an how I can fix this problem. After I reboot I wont see any recent flies either. I really like this function but it is disappointing that I can't use it.

Here's the thread I am referring to. Files won't stay pinned on the taskbar. Any advice?

    Hello Surgikill,

If you have not already, you might see if using the tutorial below to reset and clear jump lists may be able to help in case there may have been some corruption involved.

Jump Lists - Reset and Clear All Items

    Hope this helps, :)

I tried that once and it didn't work but i'll try it again.

EDIT: Something that you may want to know is that I have 7stacks installed. Could that be causing problems?

I wouldn't think 7stacks would affect Jump Lists, but you might uninstall it temporarily as a test.

    System Cleaner?

Are you running a system cleaner?

If so, it may be set to purge your "Jump Lists".

One of the cleaners I used to run (ASC?), used to purge my "Jump Lists", even though the option wasn't selected!

I use ccleaner. But not everyday. And I use eraser and MyDefrag. But even if those aren't running after a restart the jumplists have still gone poof.

    Surgikill,

Are these only for items you pinned in the Jump Lists, or just recent items listed in the Jump Lists?

The reason I ask is that it sounds like you may have recent items set to clear on exit. If so, that would explain this if it's only listed recent items in the Jump Lists going poof like that. You might check using the tutorial below to make sure it's not enabled to see if it may help.

Oh, that stinks. You might give these a try to see which one you may like.
