$90??? Not something I'd want to mess with, especially for that price.

Are you having a problem? If so describe it and hopefully someone here can help.

salvage corrupt system files
Hi,

I would steer clear of it, the grammar in the description is very poor, and for me personally that raises a flag. There are lots of 3rd party programs that claim to fix Windows issues, but all they do is make some easy money off the naive and unwary.

You are better off using Windows own inbuilt system file checker to attempt to fix corrupted system files;

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

yeah, i seem to have some corrupt system files that sfc/scannow cannot fix....i've done the 3times thing without success....the system is working perfectly though. i just hate knowing i have these corrupt files on the system. don't even know what files they are.

i was attempting to update "free download manager" and found this link on their site. but i thought i better check with you guys here first before i even start thinking about it.

i don't really have much faith in these types of softwares anyway so you're right, best to leave them alone. thanks for the heads up guys.

btw golden, what's with this profile picture of yours? were you faced with a raised skirt or something haha

Hi,

Do a search for the CBS.log file in C:\Windows\Logs which is where the corrupt files are listed. Upload that log file here and someone may be able to advise.

the report is waay too long to post and like i said, i'm not exactly having problems with these files being on the system as of now. so i guess i'll just hang in there till they start creeping up and then i'll run back here full speed to you guys.

thanks again folks

If you have unfixable System Files that result in performance issues then the next step is a Repair Install.

Some system files are corrupt.
For a few weeks now, Windows Explorer sometimes stops working after startup. My computer freezes, but Explorer restarts after a few minutes. This usually happens every time I start the computer, but everything is fine after that. I did a sfc scan and found that some system files were corrupt, but...
