How to pull source files from many folders in windows 7

    Hey,

I have been attempting to find a quick solution for this issue for quite some time.

I have ripped mp3 files from an ipod onto my PC and each song has created an automatic folder, and most times even subfolder. This means to access my 2000+ mp3's i need to manually enter 4000+ folders.

There must be an automation task that removes such dreaded evil tasks from the universe. Please help make the world a better place and solve this issue.

    Thanks!

When you are in the folder you could try using the search box in the top right for the file extention, when it finishes searching select all (CTRL + A) and then copy or cut them into a single folder.

You will then have all the music files in 1 folder

is that what you are trying to do?

    e.g.
    Do a search for .mp3

    Easy thing to miss

I went as far as creating a batch file that pulled out particular files based on the file extension until someone said "why don't you just..."
