| | Inspiron N4110 not booting after Hibernation My laptop wont start after hibernation. The hard drive starts to spin up after I hit the power button but stops and the screen stays black. The power is still going (I checked the lights) but it still doesn't start. Once I completely turn it off by holding the power button, it starts fine. It wouldn't be a huge deal except I lose everything that I had running. If anyone has any ideas on whats happening or how to fix it, please help. |

| | Hiyya leadwolf and welcome well one suggestion that comes to mind is disable hibernation. Personally I disable it to keep my machines up to speed. I also don't like leaving things running anyway and getting going from hibernation in my experience take almost as much time as a boot. If you are interested you can find how in this tutorial which by the way that has other settings and tweaks that will help your machine run faster anyway. Optimize Windows 7[2]=Performance |
