    won't stay asleep

When i put my PC on sleep, it "wakes up" after 2 minutes w/o any stimulus from keyboard or mouse. is this a known problem?

    Welcome to Sevenforums, frickinaj.

This sounds similar to another thread, Sleep constantly resumes. There's a link there to a Vista tutorial that solved the poster's problem.

    Hi and welcome to sevenforums

It can be alot of theings. power plan settings, a wifi or nic set to wake on lan, etc.

We do need a lot on info about your system so can you fill out your system specs (in the lower left corner) so we know what hardware you have

    thanks

It really would be nice if
"SOME PEOPLE WOULD QUIT POSTing WINDOWS 8." then later in the post some where they admit.
    1. its Windows xp - juiced up
    2. its Vista on steroids
    3. its Windows 7 Extreme.
    4. its Windows (ripped and tweaked)(Pre activated) will never get a update but works just the way "The Hacker" wants it to work.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Who needs Tech Support form this HACKER who says, if it don't work tuff.
At least MS offers some support!

AJ - Don't feel bad, there's so much good stuff here that it can be daunting. I'd recommend checking out Brink's excellent tutorials at Tutorials - Windows 7 Forums, he has done an outstanding job on them.
