    Don't give up hope. Sometimes it just takes a while for other Forum members to jump in on a problem. The last link in my first post ( Windows Explorer Randomly Freezes or Restarts ) had several more suggestions. Did you have a chance to go through those, yet?

    by doing the sfc /scannow three times then reboot? is that?
    You should reboot after each of the scans. Sometimes before a file can be fully repaired the computer needs to be restarted.

    Hey marsmimar! well i did the sfc for three times and yet, windows explorer is still restarting, what to do? im losing hope really..

    Hi

    Try some (possible) solutions listed on the Microsoft Community Forum:

    Windows Explorer in Windows 7 keeps crashing and restarting

    "Windows explorer has stopped working"/"windows is restarting"

    The thread is dated, 2009 etc., but it could help out with your scenario.

    Keep us posted on your outcomes :)

    Hi Lomai! Thanks for replying! well, I already did the sfc /scannow, Ive tried it several times, and yet it is dtill restarting, I also run the msconfig.exe and noting happens, Im really losing hope!

    Hang in there - lot's of folks on this forum who will help out :)

    Have a look at the links I posted above, let us know if things work out

    As a precaution, have you backed up your critical/essential data?

    Well Hi! Thank you for all your advice, and for having time to reply.. well, my problem was solved by reformatting my laptop.. a file was corrupted, so i decided to reformat it.. so thats it! Thank you all guys! :)
