Empty Folders??

Hi,I have windows 7 home premium.If I click on the start then select my user name there are several folders there.
Five of them are empty.
1563.temp
3927.temp
3616.temp
8201.temp
3878.temp

When I select one of these there is nothing there ''Blank''
Is it okay to delete those five?

Thanks very much in advance.

Basically any file or folder that has a tmp or temp extension can be deleted without any problems. If it is being used by some program a warning will usually come up.

you can do a search for *.tmp and see just how many TEMP files there is on your system.

Thanks for the reply,I took a gamble and deleted those folders in question.
Also regarding doing a search for temp files.Would this be the correct way??

Type %temp% into the run box.Would that be the correct method then delete what's in there.

Thanks.

I suggest using Agent Ransack as a replacement for MS built in search feature. It is free, easy to use, and finds more results than MS from my experience. It can be downloaded from;

Agent Ransack - Download

Once installed, if you choose to use it, simply use the following in the search bar;

*.temp;*.tmp

The above will locate all files with those extensions.

Yeah as above. Use an Add-On Search program. The one mentioned is very good. Actually IMHO MS has both enhanced and broken the Windows search feature in different ways. Making it just about useless for most of the reasons I use search for.

Don't use the Start Menu search for things like this. If you must use Windows Search open a Windows Explorer window (That is WINDOWS EXPLORER Not Internet Explorer. 2 totally different things) and use the search bar in there.
