And could I just use my windows 7 reinstall disc that came with my computer and use the key on the side of my computer to install to SSD? It isn't OEM windows I think it didn't have any bloatware or anything.
Could you guys suggest some SSD's that are good but cheaper still? Thanks

Not too sure about the reinstall disc, but regarding the SSD I would say a minimum of 60/64GB, they are so cheap now, 30GB would really be pushing it for space.

Understandable yes, last thing you want is to have to buy a new copy of Win 7 as well.

Hopefully someone else can help you there.

You'd want one large enough for your OS, paging file and programs to benefit most from the increased speeds.

Then follow these steps to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which steps are the same for retail.

You can then link your User folders from the HD by rightclicking each in the new Win7 to add to the related Library - Include a Folder - Windows 7 Forums .

But you'd want to copy them off of the old Win7 first to delete and reformat partition which is the proper way to uninstall the old OS.

As long as you are installing your copy of Windows 7 to the same computer, you can activate it using the product key on the side of your computer. I have done a number of re-installs myself doing just that and haven't had any problems.
