Stuck on Startup Repair Screen. Keeps looping.

Well here goes. My granddaughter has a laptop with Windows 7 pre-installed. I went to turn it on after charging it and the Startup Repair window comes up. I can't get any System Repair options except for Startup Repair which can not repair the computer automatically.
This is the problem details listed:
    StartupRepairOffline
    6.1.7600.16385
    6.1.7600.16385
    unknown
    21200831
    autofailover
    20
    NoRootCause
    6.1.7600.2.0.256.1

I don't have much information on this laptop since we are on vacation. The only thing my daughter told me was that Windows was preinstalled. The laptop is ASUS. I know it isn't much to go on but perhaps someone has a solution or an idea of what is happening.

Please any input would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Startup Repair is to run with either using a installation disk or a system repair disk, to get the best result.

Do you have any ? let us know.

In that case, one more information is also needed. Is it a 32 bit one or a 64 bit one.

Unfortunately I have neither. I have to find out from my daughter if it is a 32 or 64 bit.
    Thanks for your response.

I am going to wait until I get back from vacation to attempt to download and burn Window Defender Offline on another Windows PC. The only computer access I have now is a MAC and I am afraid to download anything like this on it. I don't know if it could screw up the MAC or if it would even allow me.

Thanks for all the support and I will be in touch in several weeks.

Please supply all answare to the questions asked by other troubleshooters and enjoy your holiday.
Did the laptop ever boot succesfully or was this the first start after buying it?

    Stuck on Start up

I am back from vacation and still haven't been able to resolve the problem. I tried Kaspersky Rescue and Windows Defender offline but it just does the same thing over and over. What am I doing wrong?? Why doesn't the laptop startup with the Kaspersky disk or Window Defender Offline.

    HELP!

Do you have any other bootable disks that you can boot to know whether your computer is able to boot a disk. There are two ways to do this. Once is to enter BIOS setup at boot to set the DVD drive to boot first, then the HD. THe other is to trigger the disk to boot using the one-time BIOS Boot menu key. If you do this successfully and the disk is bootable it should prompt you to Press Any Key to Boot Disk. Does it?

How to Boot your Computer from a Bootable CD or DVD

Try burning another Kapersky disk using Windows Image Burner or ImgBurn at 4x speed to be sure its burned correctly.

What is the make and model of the computer so we can give you the boot keys needed if they are not clearly readable on first boot screen.

Are you following the Troubleshooting steps in sequence? What happened when you tried to trigger Safe Mode by tapping the F8 key at boot.

Back again with no resolve. I can't believe nothing is working. I changed the boot up order to DVD and tried Kaspersky and System Mechanic neither of them worked. Not that I am quite sure what it is suppose to be doing but nothing as changed. I can get into Safe Mode but what should I do after I get into that screen. No matter what I have tried I dont get the recovery option screen. What am I doing wrong? My grand daughters laptop is ASUS K501.

    Any suggestions?

Why do you ask what you're to do when you get into Safe Mode when the very first step in the tutorial is to enter Safe Mode with networking to install Malwarebytes to do a full scan?

How many times do I need to ask you if you're following the steps in Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Boot?

Don't wonder why nothing is working. You haven't even begun to follow the steps and just ignore reminders on how to do them.

If you have questions on how to do any of the steps in order (1,2,3,4,5, etc) then ask back about that.
