Automatic Wake up of PC During Sleep

Hi guys, This is the situation I put my PC on sleep mode because I was going to the bathroom but before I left the PC just before sleeping I clicked the minimize button of a folder the PC goes into sleep mode the power button was orange but when I check the fan it is still spinning but I think its just starting to sleep then I went to bathroom. After getting out I saw my computer turned on and I questioned my self how? The folder that I minimized is seen. No one was around. Can anyone answer this.

Was there anything running in the background that might cause it to come out of sleep?

    Hello Rain,

You could use the tutorial below to check your wake source event logs to see if it may be able to reveal what woke the computer at that time.

Wake Source - Read Event Viewer Log

    Hope this helps,

You could use the tutorial below to check and see if any devices are set to be allowed to wake the computer, to see if anything other than keyboard/mouse is set that you could temporarily disable to see if your computer still wakes afterwards.
In addition, you could also run the lastwake command right after the computer wakes up to see if anything further may be revealed as the cause.

    HID-compliant mouse
    HID Keyboard Device (002)
    Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller

But I clicked the minimize button of a folder 1 second before sleeping. Probably the cause I think?

If your compurer doesn't wake up anymore without doing that, then most likely.

Right-click on the device drivers for the keyboard, mouse, etc., in the device manager, and check the power management tab. Is the device allowed to wake up the computer?
