Still have lots of downloaded stuff in "other library"? Hi everyone, i was posting to another thread in which i was uploading a snip of my desktop that i saved to the downloads folder, and when i clicked on the "Attach Files" tab to browse to the snip there appeared to be lots of stuff in the download folder i had deleted ages ago. I think there are two identical library's in Win 7, but for the life of me i cannot find the other folder. I want to see if the stuff is really there, and if so i wish to delete it. I took another snip so you all can see the stuff in the download folder, which i thought was deleted. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
PS: why most of the "stuff' in this folder says it was modified in the last day or so is beyond me!! | My System Specs |

Try this, remove one of the downloads you no longer want. Make a note of the removed download. Empty the Recycle Bin. Reboot and use Windows Explorer Search and see if you can fine it. I have never had the problem you posted but if I did that is the way I would do it. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Home made Desktop OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. Ok, but if i delete it and i cant find it after reboot, how will i know were it was? Also, i thought i had a public library, but can't find it. In my screen shot it is listed under my name > library. I tried to find one of the older items in there by copying the file name and pasting it in the search box, but it said nothing found. So i deleted one, then two items, but they did not show up in the recycle bin. This is WEIRD!!!! | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP 505B B2C02UT Business Desktop OS Windows 7 professional 64 bit CPU AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 220 Processor Motherboard PEGATRON (2A99) Memory 3GB Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 Sound Card Realtek ALC662 High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays OEM Dell CRT Screen Resolution poor Keyboard wired Logitech K120 Mouse wired M100 mice PSU OEM HP 300 watt Case OEM Cooling OEM Hard Drives (1) NCQ Smart IV 500GB Hard Drive - 7,200RPM - SATA 3.0Gb/s Internet Speed G5 High Speed Internet |

When you expand your libraries in my computer, as I`ve done here does it look like this ?
Also, download something and check the path to see where it`s going.
I always save to the desktop so I know right where it`s going.
You should still have a public folder in users in C: | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built by Me ! Yes, close, the only difference i saw was the work groups were different. And while i was there i opened each user group and looked at all the downloads folders - they were all empty
(see pic) I guess that means there really is no downloads still left sitting anywere, which was the reason for the post. Don't know why old downloads show up when i open the window on the forum site to browse for files to upload. (which i keep in downloads, and how this whole mess started)
So I appreciate everyones help, it's not a big deal, we can end this thread, | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP 505B B2C02UT Business Desktop OS Windows 7 professional 64 bit CPU AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 220 Processor Motherboard PEGATRON (2A99) Memory 3GB Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 Sound Card Realtek ALC662 High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays OEM Dell CRT Screen Resolution poor Keyboard wired Logitech K120 Mouse wired M100 mice PSU OEM HP 300 watt Case OEM Cooling OEM Hard Drives (1) NCQ Smart IV 500GB Hard Drive - 7,200RPM - SATA 3.0Gb/s Internet Speed G5 High Speed Internet |

Nope, tis empty. I don't keep any junk on my PC, thats why those downloads bother me!!! Even when i download something i clear the dowload dialog box right away, lol.
