2,Go to start type regedit press enter. The Registry Editor opens up with Computer highlighted
    3. Nex go to Edit choose find and type the name of the program tha you want to delete completely in this example Freemake video downloader than click find nex.
4, Now the registry starts scanning the registry for Freemake video Downloader when it finds registry entries of freemake video downloader delete them!
5.Than go to Edit again and select find nex and when the registry finds more entries of Freemake video downloader delete them.
6.Follow step 4 until you get the message that says” Finished searching through the registry”

Yeah that works. But instead of going back to Edit Find Next just hit the F3 function key.

I use Revo Uninstaller Pro - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs easily, Forced Uninstall to take care of that stuff. MS has an uninstaller that does this if you can find it listed anywhere, its old. Use these at your own risk

Do you know that all of the registry entries you want to remove are named "Freemake video downloader"?

Since that is the name of the program! Yes. Why?

I think that regedit will find text strings.

I don't know if all registry entries made during the installation of Freemake video downloader will in fact have that text string and therefore be found by regedit.

Apparently, you do know that to be true. In which case, carry on.

    Agreed.
I'm not sure that technique will locate all of the CLSID and GUID entries.

You might want to run CCleaner's Registry Cleaner (or similar) after you have finished manually deleting entries.

Obviously you should make a backup before "hacking" the Registry.
