    System Administration?

Hi,Ive suddenly been hit with tons of messages saying that i must contact the Administrator to open Links, open files etc. Obviously i have an administrator account and the only one at that. This has just started to happen in the last week or so.I remember years ago, i had the same problem and was easily rectified, but cant remember the settings used.Any advice would be really grateful.

Hi, Just the usual stuff, although ive also just discovered that my antivirus has been blacklisted and also requires reinstallalled. The whole pc has taken a mad turn. I dont know what to sort 1st.
I tried the individual run as an Administrator by the right clicking method, ie within Outlook. This has not worked.
You are probably right that its been something that has been downloaded. My daughter will probably have a better idea of what she downloaded than i do.

Ive managed to sort most of the problems ive stated out, this was due i think to Kaspersky being blacklisted. Ive since reinstalled it and alls well. When i say alls well, it is apart from Outlook. It wont allow me to click on anything within the message windows that may, say for instance clicking ontoa link to another site. It gives the followin message...
'This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions on this computer. please contact your administrator.'
    Any advice would be grateful.
    Many thanks.

    Two things sprung to mind.

    1. Have you turned off User Account Control? This conflicts with a lot of things including third party anti virus
    2. Have you tried doing what you want to do in the actual Administrator account? Not the account you usually log in with that has standard administrator rights.
You will probably find that the original Administrator Account has been de-activated (is not one of the options to choose form when you log in) It's a simple process to activate it via the command prompt and may narrow your problem down a bit.
If no luck, you can de-activate it again and be back where you started in a minute.
    3. Have a check in Kaspersky to see if it is blocking anything relating to what you want to do. :)

    Hi,
Ive reset the Administrator account to Default setting. Ive since rebooted the pc without success.
Also, the Administrator account is still active within the settings, are you referring to something else?
Also checked Kaspersky, all looks fine!
