Set the Pagefile to 1GB Min and Max, It is now using the same amount as the amount of RAM you have installed in the system. Which if your sys specs are correct that is 16GBs.

Turn Off the Hibernate feature as that also uses tons of HDD space for the Hiberfile.sys file.

Pagefile size is adjusted through System applet in control panel. Open that then click on "Advanced system Settings" then go to the Advanced Tab and in the Performance area click on the Settings Button and then the Advanced Tab of the window that comes up.
In the Virtual Memory area click the Change Button. Highlight the C drive and then the Custom size tick and type in 1000 for Initial Size and 1000 for Maximum size.

As for the hibernate feature look at the tutorial for disabling it on this forum. Google search Disable Hibernate in Win 7.

Windows uses 10 to 12 gigs to install. Then what ever else you installed took up the rest.

How many GB does Windows 7 use after I install it? - Microsoft Community

You can either get a bigger SSD and re-install your OS or keep the current SSD and install a mechanical drive and just use the SSD for your OS and your mechanical drive for everything else.

The OP has not installed anything other then Windows. He has 16BGs of RAM so Windows will create a 16GB pagefile. And then the default hibernate size will be 16GBs so all contents of RAM can be written to the drive if needed.

No if you DO have 16GBs of RAM installed setting the pagefile for a Min and Max of 1000MBs, 1 GB, will have no effect on your system in any way.

Really you can't do a google search for Disable hibernate in Windows 7?????

This is what comes up. Notice the First Link. It is to the Sevenforums. The forums you are now on. Sorry BUT.

I already looked at that. I figured it out. :)
And I do have 16gb btw

41.3GB free now! I did not see a hybrid sleep option or anything so I am just going to say I don't have it on here. And you 100% sure changing pagefile doesn't slow it down? :)

99.99, 100MB System Reserve partition is where Windows put the Boot files. Don't fool with that.
