bootmgr missing

OK for starters I suck at computer issues, but I'm your guy if you want your computer to have issues..lol. Anyways I have an Acer 5532 laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium installed. Yeah its an old unit, but it serves my purpose. My computer was running real slow, so I thought I would try to partition the drive, but instead caused the bootmgr missing issue. There was no windows disk with my computer and I did not make a recovery disk...MY FAULT! I used my mothers Windows 7 Pro recovery disk and now I'm able to get into the directory files. Is there anyone that can help me procede further? I have called Mircosoft, they sent me to Acer and they sent me to Teleplan Logistics. There has to be someone that can assist me. PLEASE HELP!!!!!
