ok lets make life simple. For example, to add a license.key file in kaspersky, all i do is click the browse button and locate the .key file and click next to proceed. So basically, .key extension is unknown to windows. It can be added by the help of the software itself which you are trying to activate.

    Hope its lucid and helpful,
    Dinesh.
But that is for Kaspersky what abt other softwares. I find merging more convenient than locating it. Period.

Regarding extension I guess u might me right. But why Microsoft guys will turn this extension off in Windows 7 when it's not thread to security in any way ?

The answer to the question was distributed to the license holder along with the key.

Sir I told u the list is LONG. Say I name 25 softwares r u going to provide assistance for each and every software ? The name of some softwares r ulead photsmart, outpost firewall, babylon, NOD32, VB 6 etc. Even if u provide assistance I'm unlikely to use it b'coz as I said earlier I find merging licence.key file MORE convenient. The feature of merging licence key file was suggested by my techie friend and technical support member of one software over a chat. If u guys don't know the answer of my question then simply say no, pls don't waste my time by grilling me and posting unnecessary questions.

Sorry for belated reply was on another forum asking solution for this problem.

as far as i know, nod32 can never be activated using a license.key file.
Are you trying to advocate piracy out here? Remember, this is pure piracy. You are trying to activate softwares like NOD32 using unfair means. I m sorry in this case, we cant help you. please don't waste yours and our time.

But boss installing licence file is pain in a**, it's not liking typing serial, installing licence is sometime complex, it depends on software actually. It's not that easy for newbie. The best and easy way is simply right click on that file and merge it and u r done. U guys should try this feature only then u'll understand its importance. It's nowhere written ONLY pirated software uses this feature.

OK so since you are unlikely to use it because merging is more convenient, merge!

Sorry to say ur knowledge is poor. Check this link: ESET Knowledgebase - What do I do with my ESET security product license files?. Pls do some googling before leveling charges. U can't level charges on the basis of ur "as far as I know". Hope after knowing the procedure of installing file for NOD 32 u folks would understand what I was telling u all these while: it's complex way of installing licence and various from software to software, its also not that EASY for newbies.
