How Do I Get A Computer To Reset To The Same Settings After Robot?

In some hotels, they have it set so if you add/uninstall or change anything, it resets to the way it was, after robot. How do I get this computer to do that?

It has Windows 7: Ultimate (32-Bit). Also, I don't want everything to reset,just some things.

Deep Freeze (or similar) is probably the application those hotels use. But as far as I know, everything gets reset. That way no matter what a customer does to muck up the computer it can be "instantly" fixed.

I would guess if you wanted to change certain settings you'd have to reboot to restore a freeze point, make your changes (doing nothing else), then create another freeze point. Or something like that.

One of these days I'm gonna check out Deep Freeze (and similar). Depending on how flexible it is, I would think I might find it useful on a couple of machines.

Okay I'm confused. If it is your computer how did a Hotel put a freeze on it or automatically make it do anything? I guess I will just watch because I have no idea how this can be done or how to undo it.

I don't think he is on a hotel pc he was just giving an example of what he wants to do to his pc.

I don't think it would work. Deep freeze resets the computer to a preconfigured setup, sort of like reimaging every startup (but faster).

Foxface wants to restore his computer to what it used to be, but neither deep freeze or reimaging will work, because those require him to first preconfigure the setup that the computer will be restored to.

Perhaps if Foxface will tell us why he wants to do this, then we can solve his problem in a different manner.

I tried Deep Freeze, it's good, except it doesn't do individual folders/apps. It freezes the whole partiton.

I would like to just freeze some folders or apps. It is my my computer that I am trying to freeze.

that would be difficult. Why not just run as a limited user and don't change the apps or files in the first place?
