Double clicking SOME windows explorer folders does not work anymore!

Hello! I have recently noticed a weird bug that double clicking SOME personal folders and subfolders of the main Windows 7 libraries (documents, music, pictures, videos) does not open them immediately in the Windows Explorer main window. I'm not getting any error messages--it seems like Windows is trying to process the double click command because I see the "blue circle waiting symbol". However, nothing happens after the symbol disappears. Opening the problematic folder through right-clicking doesn't work either. The only way I can open the problematic folders is through the context menu map on the left that includes libraries, homegroup, computer and network. This is a less efficient method that I don't like and I never have had to do this before. Is there any way that windows explorer can be refreshed or reset without losing any data? I have anti-virus software, system mechanic and cc cleaner and they didn't see any major problems with my system. Thanks!

hmm, i dont really know what caused it, if it only for those special folders in library and it never open regardless how many time u tried then i have to ask did u removed a drive recently or did u delete the default redirect folder[C:\Users\Public]?

    it doesnt hurt to try
right click a special folder in library(documents, music, pictures, videos) and press [properties], click on [include a folder] and browse the location of the folder...

    Hi,

To rest Windows Explorer, Click on "Start" at the bottom of your desktop to open the Start Menu. Press "Ctrl + Shift" on your keyboard as you right-click on any black space of the Start Menu. Select "Exit Explorer.

Press "Ctrl + Shift + Esc" to open the computer's Task Manager. Click on "Run" (some computers may need to click on "File > Run"). Type in "explorer," then select "OK."

    Hope this helps

Thanks for the help but I weirdly found out on my own that the buggy personal folders actually open fine if I just rename them!!! Don't know if anyone has any clues as to why this could have happened--maybe a memory problem?!?!?

    Definitely Works

Download the Registry Reviver tool linked to here. Works GREAT!
