Help with determining the registry entry/process causing my problems

My os is windows 7 professional 64 bit and have been using the computer for about a year with no problems until now. I am having problems with several programs, and I suspect that because I started having problems at the same time it is either the registry a process is causing the problems. For the 3 programs below I have tried to reinstall the programs, do in place repairs, and I did a repair install of windows 7, with nothing getting fixed. So, I am at a loss as to what to do next, short of doing a clean install (which I would prefer not to do).

So, if anyone can help me I would gratefully appreciate it.

The programs that are not working properly are outlook 2003 (it crashes when I try to open the calendar),

    the event viewer log says:
    Event id: 1000
Faulting application name: OUTLOOK.EXE, version: 11.0.8326.0, time stamp: 0x4c1c2372

Paperport 11 (thumbnails on multipage documents does not display)
    The event viewer log says:

And msn internet explorer, which crashes upon opening.

    The event viewer log says:

Just to add the other things I tried but did not mention (as best I remember):

    selective startup: no changes
    Safe mode: no changes
trying to repair outlook, I tried:

    safe startup
    detect and repair
    scan pst tool
    outlook /cleanreminders, outlook /resetfolders

    Thanks for any assistance

    also:

a system restore to before the problem started
    and a malware/virus scan

    again to no effect.
