    Screen issues

    Hi.
    Today I started up my hp 2000. It started up fine with the welcome screen on it. But when it was supposed to load my desktop, it was only a blank black screen with no wallpaper, no taskbar and no icons overall. The screen isnt broken, the laptop it self is only a year old, with no damage to the hardrive,ram etc. The keyboard doesn't respond so i cant type or even start task manager. I installed new start orbs from devianart.com It was after that when i tried to change it using button changer for windows 7 v.5 that the taskbar disappeared and the icons but the wallpaper was still there then. After i restarted it was a blank screen but the keyboard responded but nothing else. I managed to open internet explorer through task manager and use it. But after i closed it the keyboard did not respond. Now only the mouse works. I tried to access a restore point that i had made that day through control panel but control panel wouldnt open. Please help me. Im almost in tears right now because that is the only working laptop i have.
    God bless you for your time
    Thank you
    Note: There is no sound and i cant control or adjust it.
    Note: Please help me Im a student and have science exams soon.

    Do a System Restore to before the change (or changes) were made. See here: System Recovery Options

    Select System Restore when it's available.

    If you don't have a password, just leave it blank and continue.

    If that fails, visit the following link for more details;

    Where are you being asked for a password? Are you booting the Install DVD or what?

    You should be clicking on System Restore when you get to the System Recovery Options screen.
