You're asking a question that is IMPOSSIBLE to answer -- why? Because we have no idea what "better" means to you. "Better" is entirely subjective.

If you go to the Windows 8 forums (eightforums.com), you will find articles that contain info on the new "features" that are offered in Win8. Also, you could Google this for yourself.

Case in point, I looked through the new features list, as well as the things that Win8 removes, and have decided that it is actually "worse" for me than staying with Win7. But, that is my subjective opinion -- and others will have other opinions.

If you need a fast answer, then you need a computer badly enough that you won't take the time to learn a new interface.

So go with Windows 7.

The Windows 8 interface is not traditional, with a standard start menu, etc. It's more like what you might want on a mobile device or phone.

Most find it frustrating or worse.

It's not ideal for a keyboard/mouse user.

I'd go with 7, but you may like frustration or Win 8 or both.
