Windows 7 Ultimate x86

i found this on my system drive. what should i do? ive search on the forum, and found that this could be deleted, like solor said at this thread =====> Msdia80.dll on my F: ( Files drive ). is it save to do this?

i also find a tut from that thread: FIX: The Msdia80.dll file is installed in the root folder of the boot drive when you install the Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package by using the Vcredist_x64.exe file or the Vcredist_ia64.exe file

and it told me to reg the file from this folder :

the problem is, that folder doesnt even exist. and i make it my self

any suggestions what to do? i dont want reinstall my win7 because of this

great thanks.

google i love u

hey, ive found the solution!! i just reinstalled microsoft c++ redistributable 2008 SP1 for both x64 and x86.

now i have msdia on the right folder. the installer makes it itself

some programs made msdia80.dll on the main drive like c:\ or whatever the drive letter. ATI drivers, Symantec products, Cyberlink products, etc. is one of them.

EDIT: btw, for ati driver, i need to install c++ redistributable 2005 SP1 x64 so msdia80.dll will remains at c:\
anyhow, ill do fix for it

Note   Note
currently im struggling for ATI drivers, because ppl here from suggesting me to install a driver for my video card

Windows 7 Home Premium x64

Don't mean to necro an old thread but I have 2 of them.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\VC

The one in my root directory has the Hidden and Archive attributes whereas the one in the common directory only has the Archive attribute.
