| | Windows Start up, Error 0xc0000098 Alright so I have a small situation. It says Windows has failed to start. Underneath it has: File: \Windows\system32\DRIVERS\avgrkx64.sys Status: 0xc0000098 I have tried doing a system repair with f8, but the option does not show up. I have also put a windows 7 CD in but it wont boot, it just goes to a screen that says start windows normally or safe mode, right after that error pops up. Anyone have an idea how I can get a fresh windows 7 installed on the computer now? I have tried putting launch parameters in bios to the CD drive, doesn't make a difference. |

| | Can you boot to Safe Mode with or without networking via F8 at boot time? If so, uninstall AVG and see if that solves the problem. |

| | Problem solved! Had to remake a iso cd of windows 7, then I made the bios boot from the CD drive and it worked! |
