SOS! Windows 7 Resets Again and Again NO ERROR MESSAGES

So, the case is my Windows 7 Ultimate just keeps on resetting and resetting. It'll be alive for a few minutes then after that it will just reset then a few minutes then resets again. There are no error messages just the usual Startup Recovery Menu not showing any form of errors. I haven't tried anything to troubleshoot it but I would accept any help as I'm not that advanced to go to the BIOS and change this or something like that.

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

have you tried going in to bios and leaving it in bios to see if the computer it self restarts with in a few minutes or if it is your operating system it self? If it doesn't reset in bios I'd advice reformatting personally! if it does crash in bios so long as you haven't edited anything in the bios to your own personal preferences then just load optimized defaults and see if that gets you anywhere!

Boot into a Linux Knoppix or Hiren’s BootCD 15.1 to run in Linux or XP from disk to see if the problem persists.

Then power down to unplug the HD to see if problem persists or stops while running from disk.

If not try another HD, or install your HD in another PC to wipe it with Diskpart Clean Command to clear the boot sector which can cause problems like these.

Otherwise test the HD and RAM from Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7, these tests can be run from Hiren's Boot CD if you don't want to burn the disks required.

Ok I managed to get my pc back alive. It was Windows Update f*cking the entire start-up process. It seems that it is attempting to download the updates then when it fails to download them, it crashes and brings the entire machine down.

A System Restore point is set before each group of Windows Updates so the procedure if they foul out again is to Restore to before the last group then install them in smaller groups to isolate the problem Update, working down to single it out. Then post back the Update here and via Email support on the Windows Update site to resolve the problem.

Email support is slower but has the benefit that you can work at your own speed. I once spent a month resolving a friend's Updates issue in Vista via email support with no pressure or rush. MS will not stop until it is resolved even if they have to bring in an engineer.

This is not a reason to avoid Updates which impact both the security and performance of your Win7, and is how Win7 delivers newer drivers that are critical. Instead set them to Download but not Install until you have the time to work through them, first in groups and then singly to isolate the problem.
