I'm confused as to why you keep pushing this, and what you hope to achieve. I'll spell it out.

Anytime someone creates a thread asking if they should use Windows 8 instead of Windows 7, there is always a response that states Windows 8 is only for touchscreens. Happens each and every time.

My "point" was to preempt that comment by stating that Windows 8 isn't "just for touchscreens" and that there's more to consider than just whether or not a computer has a touchscreen. No where did I state that it was an official comment from Microsoft, or any other source, and frankly I'm still uncertain why my comments are a big deal to you.

The only comment in this thread about Windows 8 and the touchscreen feature was posted by me, so I thought you had misunderstood my post and were being a bit insulting. I had no idea you were just making a general reference.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Windows8 has some interesting features. I especially like the Trim function for SSDs that comes with defrag. But for daily use it is awfully cumbersome. This mixed UI is not the yellow of the egg. I may put a copy on one of my systems - just to stay up-to-date. But for normal operation I'll stay with /7.

I get the initial confusion, but even after I explained what I meant, you still questioned the point I was trying to make. My original comments weren't directed at you in any way.
