Can I Delete the PerfLogs Folder?

Hello, I hope you are doing well.

In my C main drive, there is a folder titled PerfLogs. Inside it, there's one folder, an Admin folder. However, nothing else exists inside these folders.

Would it be safe to delete the PerfLogs folder? I read that in Vista, the folder is created by the "Reliability and Performance Monitor," but couldn't find any detailed information about the folder. Any thoughts regarding this?

    Thanks,
    Vic

This is a system-created folder and, as such, I would leave it alone.

Big thanks to you logicearth. After reading many of your threads and posts I believe you are somewhat an experienced Windows user. Therefor, I shall now delete this folder. Truthfully, ever since my very first installation of W7, I've been annoyed by this darn folder.

Gew, if you do delete the folder, can you please post back your experiences after a few computer restarts? Thanks.

    Sure will~

    Code:
    C:\>rm -rfv PerfLogs
removing all entries of directory PerfLogs
removing all entries of directory PerfLogs/Admin
    removing the directory itself: PerfLogs/Admin
    removing the directory itself: PerfLogs

    C:\>
I'll get back if anything goes to shit.

    Cheers!

    No issues so far.
My conclusion is that it's safe to remove the PerfLogs folder.

You can delete PerfLogs directly from Windows Explorer.
