Winrar issues, can't get the exe onto a disc.

May remember my other thread about dual booting linux? Well, that's sorted. That pc has had a fresh install, but without any drivers.

I've downloaded the ethernet etc, and graphics drivers and put them into .rar files.
I also downloaded winrar and tried putting the .exe as a data file (all files on one disc) so i could install that, then the drivers, but the exe doesn't even appear on the disc so i cannot install anything.

Long story short: cannot put the downloaded .exe of winrar on disc to install on another machine, doesn't even show, and as such drivers are useless.

You could try using 7zip...it can open .rar files (sorry can't link from phone). Just be sure to get the right one for which ever OS you need it on.

As you have seen fit to break Forum rues by putting the same topic on here twice you have missed my solution to your problem. I replied to your other post but this I believe has been rightly deleted by Admin.
