Recently I went from Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 Home Premium by upgrading the OS. Due to errors, I decided to restore my computer using the Windows.old file and this link: How to restore a Windows 7-based computer to a previous Windows installation by using the Windows.old folder
During the steps, I received errors doing "move /y "c:\Windows.old\Program Files" c:\" or "move /y "c:\Windows.old\Documents and Settings" c:\" and unable to do ALL of step 5.
When i restarted, my computer logged in to Windows 7 Starter and contained all my programs and previous files. However, i am missing basic programs like calculator, accessories, games etc.
Also in my C: drive it contains program data, program files, users, and windows. There is another file named "W1n 7" that contains all these files but is about 1GB less for some reason. I am unable to delete "WIn 7" file as i dont have permissions even though im on admin account. I was wondering if my comp is using the "Windows 7" as boot file and the reason behind the absent programs or how should i delete this 9GB file on my 50GB laptop.
