Recent Places - files that I didn't open

I was cleaning out my computer and when I went into recent places there was a file in there that I didn't open. There was also a lot of webpages on just one day that were in the history that I didn't go into. Both of these things happened around the same time. Is it possible that I was hacked?

OK, so the first issue is eliminated. Have you tried doing a malware scan? I would suggest using MalwareBytesAntiMalware as the software of choice in my case. You can download a free copy from;
