After entering a folder by following a symbolic link or junction the search function works correctly. If any sub-folder is entered search no longer works (i.e., always returns "No items match your search.").

Is this a bug, a feature, expected behavior?

I want to link to a folder on another drive and have it behave like a local folder. Any suggestions?

Further research has shown this to be a windows 7 feature. Appears to work correctly in Windows 8.
