Locking up on boot up - just started and intermittent

    Hello to all,
In the last two weeks I have noted that my W7 Ultimate 64 Bit machine will boot, looks good and when I log into a user account the Desktop shows, without gadgets or icons and just sits that way for seemingly ever. Can't break in and must power down. I log into Start Normally and it will boot correctly. This has occurred usually in my user account and once on a rapid restart on the Owner account. I have used chkdsk to see if it is a physical problem. Out of my league but this hasn't occurred for 2 years and just intermittently occurring. Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated. This has begun after but not immediately installing Advanced System Cleaner which I run occasionally.

Registry cleaners are generally not necessary and really shouldn't be used unless you review the entries selected for deletion and understand their purpose. With that said, most cleaners have a restore function and if you haven't made any significant changes to the system try to restore back to a time before you noticed the problem. Also, have you looked at Event Viewer to see if there is anything there that might help identify the issue.

    Hello Sir George,
I believe I will remove the Advanced System Care as it is very powerful and I do not know enough. It was recommended by an IT friend who uses it for years. Lets see it that helps. The restore would be lost by now and they've never seemed to work correctly for me.
As to the event viewer, that is way out of my league. May have to plead for help with it, if it comes to that. Thanks for your time and assistance!

    Howdy again,
Thanks for the guide, but I did it with RevoUnistaller Pro with advanced removal and then went into appdata on all accounts and removed all traces found. I hope it works. Finger's crossed!

I use Revo myself and find it generally does a good job on removing software, so you should be good to go.

    Thanks for the update.

questions on that unistall for Malwarebytes

    Hello Sir,
I decided to investigate the uninstall link instructions that you provided. Found a lot of clutter left about on IObit Anti-malware. Did multiple searches and have finally come to entries that I am not allowed to delete in regedit. The are in numerous Windows > Component Based Servicing > Packages such as Microsoft-Windows-RemoteDestopService-WinIP-Package-31bf385XXXXX-amd64-en-US-7.7601XXXX type entries. This particular on shows in entry InstallLocation \\?\C:\Program Files (x86)\IObit\AdvancedSystemCare 6\KB25XXXX.cab.Temp\ then a whole bunch of alphanumeric characters.
I have no idea of what these entries and there are many similar to the above, do or how to uninstall.
RevoUnistaller runs the software's unistaller then allows deeper scans. But it missed many of the registry entries I deleted and all of these cryptic things....
    Again any help is appreciated!

Those, to the best of my knowledge, are store files in case the program gets corrupted, so you can repair the files without having to re-download the installer. I believe that you can delete them.
Oh, and you might want to run a SFC scan following SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Are you familiar with Ccleaner? At this point I would suggest downloading it and running the reg cleaner provided. But, please, post back after you have installed the program and before using it.

    Download link for Ccleaner;

    Hello Injust,
Thanks for the help. There are so many that I don't really care to go through them, so hopefully they won't cause trouble. I did run sfc /scannow befor and after, it did not indicate any issues {!
