    Install all of your Important and Optional WIndows Updates after enabling Automatically get recommended drivers and updates for your hardware. Set Updates to Automatic.

    It's unlikely your PC maker (if OEM) even has Win7 drivers for that old of a chipset. I'd maximize your RAM, keep the cleanest install possible and not expect much from it.

    @gregrocker

    That chipset is actually below the win7 min requirements. Truthfully best fix is to stick with xp.

    If he wants to reinstall XP. If he wants stable gaming graphics he may need to.

    I'll ask Jimbo what's the best that can be expected since he posted he has/had the chipset here: Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Question

    Seems I've done one of them myself back then and it wasn't a deal breaker, but I wouldn't expect to use it for gaming.

    Hi there
    I got mine originally from here

    Download Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver 15.12.75.1.1825 for Win7 RC x64 Driver for Windows 7 - Softpedia

    But that was in 2009 -- I've got different computers now but I remember it DID work for W7 - got full adjustable screen resolution .

    Cheers

    Seems that driver download has been taken down.

    What is the current version on the Display driver you've got?

    If it's Standard VGA then it's only a placeholder driver given by the installer. There should be another driver found by searching on the web. It may need to be installed in Compatibility Mode,

    Be sure to also enable Automatically get recommended drivers and updates for your hardware and then run Windows Updates to see if it delivers newer one, possibly under Optional.
