    Problem in google search parameter in the Address toolbar in taskbar


    i have enabled the address toolbar on the taskbar by rightclick taskbar>toolbar>address.
    this lets me to open local disks or open websites quite easily.
    initially if i wanted to search a word on the internet, i would type it and press enter. Bing would then search for it on the web.
    however Bing SUX so i replaced with google search provider as the default. But now the address toolbar doesnt search at all. whatever word i give, it detects it as if its a website.

    WOW LOL that's amazing I didn't even know you could do that!

    I've got my toolbar on my taskbar now (thanks to you :)) but I agree with what you are saying, Bing.

    Anyways have you tried this tutorial?

    Does it fix your issue?

    Time to see what else there is, seen Facebook button addon already

    Seriously considering moving from Chrome to IE now

    but the link didnt help me cuz changing to google search isnt the problem. its what happens if ur searching a word using the toolbar afterwards

Somehow the search provider in the Windows 7 taskbar address toolbar has changed from Google to Yahoo. I would like to change it back but I have no idea how. I am using IE8 and the search provider there is Google; Yahoo is not even listed; yet the taskbar address toolbar always uses Yahoo ......
Pin Google Search box to taskbar

Would like to pin a Google search edit box to taskbar like I was able to do for Internet Explorer search. Please see attached screen shot showing what I would like to do. Not add shortcut to Google desktop - this will allow floating searchbox that cannot be pinned to taskbar. Thanks
address bar was working fine as google search bar untiil yesterday, but when today i tried to do search from it, "wiki pete sampras" became "http://wiki%20pete%20sampras/"
