    missing icons?

Some programs show the icons fine in control panel whilst others don't. Although it is a minor problem it is still quite annoying especially as I recognise the logo before reading the name (if that makes sense).

Anyone know how I can get the icons to appear correctly in the control panel where you can see a list of programs installed?

P.S. Desktop icons show fine, the problem is just in the control panel list

Don't know if this will help or not but you could try rebuilding the icon cache.

    Icon Cache - Rebuild

I've noticed the same issue in my control panels going back to XP. For some unknown reason some icons just don't want to make an appearance. I don't know if it's an icon problem or just the way the control panel is coded.

I get around it by sorting programs alphabetically (as you have your control panel set up) and looking for the program name rather than the icon. But I can certainly appreciate your preference of looking for the icons instead. :)

There is nothing wrong that is normal in the Control Panel.

There is nothing to fix, there is nothing wrong.

I have changed to color of the icons in the imageres.dll but the icon is the same as you'res.

Sorry I don't understand how there is nothing wrong?

The icons should in the control panel surely...

Just a MS bug then that can't get fixed?

That's right, check out you're family or friends PC and see, they will be the same.

If the icons are there in start menu, desktop shortcut and taskbar, all is well :)

But if not, it is a problem perhaps.

My icons in Control Panel are like the OP's. They have always been that way. Some show up as they are on Desktop and some don't. I don't think it's a problem but just the way Windows 7 is. A bug; yes it is. A problem; not for me.
