    Consistency Scan?

What does it mean when your computer scans a drive for "consistency?" When I turned on my computer today it went into this scan and said it was recommended, so I let it run. What is this scan for/do?

Yea, I think that might have been what it was. It looked exactly like this picture, except the results were different.

That screen print shows a Windows Disk Check.

What do you mean by "except the results were different"?
Did any errors get reported for you on the Disk Check?

If you get no errors reported, that's good.

I'd re-boot to make sure something is not causing a Disk Check to run every time you re-boot.
