You had to stop the install to check the disk, correct? So it would need to be started over unless it wants to resume (which I doubt).

When I go to load windows normally knowing the error was there it said error, reboot to resume installation. I think its probably best to just reinstall everything.
Went to and finished the scan and then went to install and it errorer far earlier and faster than it did before, didn't say much but rebooted b4 i could write down code.
You most likely have a bad HD. Disk Check found multiple problems which have not been resolved to allow the install to complete.
The next course of action is to FINALLY run the test which would have cleared all of this up to begin with, the HD maker's HD Diagnostic extended CD scan. This is the only way to know the condition of the HD for sure.
If you boot Seatools CD scan it should give you a good idea, but also it should tell you the HD make or model you can google to get the make. Then you can run the actual maker's diagnostics.
Ran check disk again and now its basically all errors, so many i couldn't even keep track, the screen is rolling with correcting errors like the matrix lol
found it, will burn it to iso after all this and check for errors again. thanks.
Well then there's likely no need to run the diagnostics except to confirm the HD is going bad.
I would replace the HD and then run the Clean Reinstall again.

How to disassemble Toshiba Satellite Pro L450 and Satellite L455 laptops
Thanks for the video man. I'm sitting at 47% disk can and fix right now. Waiting for now for that then i'm going to pull the HD to check out the brand so i can get a extended repair tool. Do you think the sea gate will work with any hd or does it have to be a designated one?
Would you please translate this?I've said at least a half dozen times what's required to diagnose the HD.I'm sitting at 47% disk can and fix right now
Even if it repairs it's not to be trusted again so I would proceed with replacing it. You can take it to a parts desk at a store like MicroCenter, Tiger Direct or CompUSA, otherwise you may need to spec it or find compatible via the internet. I linked you some options.
I mean that the chkdsk is sitting at 47% completion right now. I will pull my hd when its done and check the brand to see if I can get a additional extended scan tool for it to be sure its the hd thats bad. Its just funny within a day of using that performance program it did this all. I just moved so waiting for a job first, otherwise its just a pc for facebook/etc. Nothing important on it if it crashes again.
