    Windows 7 latest build

    According to wikipedia:

"The fixed RTM build of Windows 7 has a build string of 7600.16399.win7_gdr.090722-1835, built on 22 July 2009, fixing many of the major bugs found in the kernel."

Is this really the latest build? The build on MSDN has the same SHA-1 and CRC as the one i downloaded and my build number is 7600.16385 (same as MSDN).

So not even MSDN has the updated 16399 build...is this official?

There were some hot fix type updates floating around that changed the 7600.16385 build to 7600.16399. Not sure if those were ever made available through windows update or not. If they were really important, however, one would think they would have been made available through win update.

Wikepedia is cool, but it is not the most reliable source of info on everything since anyone can edit it.

From Wiki:- "Windows 7 RTM is build 7600.16385 which was compiled on July 13, 2009, and was declared the final RTM build after passing all Microsoft's tests internally"

I have the RTM from my Volume Licensing and it is "7600.16385.amd64fre.win7_rtm.090713-1255" for the 64bit Enterprise version I have. As far as I can see 7600.16385 is the official build
