Windows 7: How often does Win 7 set restore points?

I just went in and created a system restore point in system properties. I don't see a place that says how often a restore point is made. Is it possible to configure?

I don't believe there is a way to schedule them. They are made before every Windows update. What I do is have a reminder to go in every Wednesday and make a Restore Point. This way I have at least one every week.

I get one with each significant change. The most recent was when my Grandson installed League Of Legends yesterday.

where is the restore saved by default?
Does creating an additional restore point delete the previous restore point or am I creating numerous points?

Go into configure and you`ll see how much space is dedicated to restore points, most often it`s way too low.

When it`s out of room it boots out the oldest restore point, but not manually made restore points.

I use the vbs script to manually create a restore point via shortcut. Also I left the default daily restore point creation active. You can change the frequency using this tip
