Here is a couple of tutorials you can follow. But since I don't know what you are really doing I don't know if they fit the problem.
Partition - Mark as Inactive
Partition - Mark as Active
Once you mark Active Win7 partition, run Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times until Win7 boots on its own and wears the System Active boot labels.
You can then delete the Win8 partition or add it if necessary to a Dual Boot menu using EasyBCD.
Took me long time to find the latest sh*t .
